Dr. Henk Streefkerk is a distinguished physician scientist with a unique blend of clinical experience in Ear, Nose, and Throat surgery, a PhD in Neurovascular surgery, and over two decades in the pharmaceutical industry. His extensive career spans both big pharma (since 2006) and biotech (since 2017). His career highlights include serving as Chief Medical Officer at PIQUR, leading a global Clinical Development Team overseeing 10+ CROs managing 8 global clinical studies, and as CMO at CellProthera, developing autologous cell therapy for cardiovascular and neurovascular indications. He led the global Entresto safety team at Novartis as Executive Safety Director, managing 22 safety professionals. Currently serving as CEO at Amarna, he spearheads the development of non-immunogenic gene therapy with expertise in company strategy, risk assessment, investor communications, and quality management systems.
